Patrick James O’Halloran – Director photo-copy

As the senior partner at one of Australia’s oldest and longest running family-based legal practices, Patrick was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1982 ,and has been an essential leader at our firm of solicitors ever since. Patrick shows great empathy and has offered continual support to all his clients over the past 30 years of service, with his ability to listen and explain legal situations in a simple, client-friendly way.

Specialising in all forms of conveyancing, liquor licencing, leases, trusts, family law, property division, wills, estates and civil litigation, Patrick has all the knowledge and expertise to guarantee a successful result for each client’s individual situation.

Proud of his old fashioned service whilst maintaining up to date knowledge of all current legislation and boasting of published papers in constitutional and corporate law, Patrick is one of the most well respected solicitors in our local industry.

Andrew John O’Halloran – Director

Since Andrews’s admission to practice law in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1991, Andrew has successfully practiced in personal injury law and litigation. Andrew became a Law Society Accredited Specialist in 2002. Andrew possesses almost 30 years experience and updates his legal knowledge of personal injury law each year to maintain his accreditation status.

Andrew has also practiced in commercial and criminal law and has run a number of large criminal hearings and is an experienced advocate having shadowed his Father and Grandfather in courts across the area.

Through thorough research and careful preparation, Andrew and his team ensure clients achieve success in their compensation claim, operating on a no win/no fee basis.  Outside the office Andrew is a life member of Tamworth Pirates Rugby Club, and member of the Royal Automobile Club, he has recently been selected in the NSW over 50s state cricket side. 

Douglas John Biffin – Junior Partner

Douglas was born and bred in Tamworth, and attended Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School before being admitted to the Supreme Court as a Solicitor in 2013. After finishing his studies with a Bachelor of Commerce and Laws and a Graduate Diploma of Law, Douglas worked for Macquarie Bank in Sydney. He returned home to Tamworth in 2010 and is now a valuable addition to our well known firm, practicing in all areas of law, including family, property, conveyancing, wills, estates, criminal, and employment law. Douglas loves the diversity of his work and is continually updating his skills, whilst assisting clients throughout their troubled times.

In his spare time, Douglas can be found acting on the set of Indian Summers, tent pegging, or running around for the Tamworth Pirates Rugby 1st Grade side  in the Central North Competition as a leading back rower and also playing representative rugby for our region.

Richard James O’Halloran – Special Counsel 

Richard is a 4th generation practitioner at R.J. O’Halloran & Co. Richard was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2014. He obtained a Bachelor of Business and Law degree at the University of New England, and his graduate Diploma of Law in Sydney. He has recently completed his Masters of Law through Sydney majoring in Estate Planning & Succession Law. Richard specialises in Estate Planning and Succession Law and also appears in Local & District Courts in criminal law matters. Richard has also expanded his practice area into property law, conveyancing, wills and employment law.

Richard returned to the firm in 2017 from England where he played Premier Grade cricket and worked in reputable London City Firm Winkworth Sherwood. Richard prides himself on providing practical and cost effective solutions to clients. In his spare time he enjoys playing rugby for Pirates Rugby Club and spending his summer representing our region in cricket. 

Kaitlin Greer- Solicitor

Kaitlin is a newly admitted solicitor who joined the firm in 2017, Kaitlin attended St Albert’s College at the University of New England after attending schooling in Tamworth. Kaitlin is practicing in our specialist conveyancing and property law team and assists clients throughout the property transaction. Renee Dixon – Conveyancer

Renee has been with R.J.O’Halloran & Co for 20 years since leaving school, born and raised in Tamworth she followed her Mother Beverley Ann Miller and sister Lisa Thompson into the firm. Renee speacialises in conveyancing after becoming licensed and has worked on a number of significant commercial, rural and residential transactions. Renee assists clients throughout the conveyancing process in the form of preparing contracts for sale or advising and assisting purchasers from exchange to settlement, for assistance contact renee@rjohalloran.net.au

Catherine James – Conveyancer 

Cate has been with the firm for almost 20 years and has worked in all areas of Property Law and Conveyancing, she has extensive experience preparing contracts for the sale of land and undertaking all relevant inquiries for Purchasers before exchange and then settlement. Cate has assisted clients in a number of significant residential, commercial, motel and rural transactions and works closely with Patrick and Douglas in our specialist conveyancing team, for assistance contact cate@rjohalloran.net.au

Rachel James – Conveyancer

Rachel has been with the firm for almost 5 years working primarily in the conveyancing department assisting her Mother Cate and Renee with preparing residential and business contracts, rate adjustments and settlement schedules.

Sarah Simmonds-Paralegal

Sarah is currently completing her legal studies externally through the University of New England. Sarah has worked directly with Andrew O’Halloran for over 5 years on all Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Negligence and Criminal matters and can be contacted at sarah@rjohalloran.net.au. Sarah prides herself on acting with integrity and compassion to clients in times of need.
